Last week, I shared a quote that’s been stirring in my heart:
"Everything you have ever wanted is on the other side of fear." — George Addair
I wrote about the threshold—that moment when fear stands tall and tries to convince us to shrink. But what happens when we choose to walk through anyway?
We find grace. Growth. And sometimes, goosebumps.
Because fear doesn’t just guard the door to our dreams—it guards the door to deeper faith. And when we step through, we don’t just find what we were hoping for. We find more. We find God’s fingerprints in places we didn’t expect. We find community leaning in. We find courage growing roots.
This week, I saw it firsthand.
I launched something new. I shared a story that made my heart race. I said yes to a role that stretched me. I posted with trembling fingers, wondering if anyone would read it. And in return? I saw connection. I felt peace. I watched fear lose its grip.
Not because I’m fearless. But because I’m learning that faith is stronger.
When we obey, even when we’re scared—we make space for him to move. We open the door to encouragement we didn’t know we needed. We receive messages from friends who say, “That post was exactly what I needed.” We see our small steps ripple into someone else’s breakthrough.
And sometimes, we simply feel lighter. Like we’ve laid something down and picked up peace instead.
That’s the beauty of walking through fear: it doesn’t just change our circumstances. It changes us.
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." — Joshua 1:9
This verse has been my anchor this week. Not just a suggestion but a command. A reminder that courage isn’t a personality trait—it’s a posture. And the big man upstairs doesn’t send us into the unknown alone. He walks with us, steady and sure.
If you’re still standing at the edge of something that's an idea, a conversation, a calling; I want to gently remind you: the other side isn’t just safe. It’s sacred.
And you don’t have to leap. Just take one small, faithful step.
